FELIZ AÑO NUEVO!!!

Que todo les vaya muy bien en este nuevo año y que sigan disfrutando de la música y compartiendo.

Muchas felicidades!!!

Este año ha sido del Indie, mucha música para bailar o hacer el intento, además de toques punk políticamente correctos.

Escuchamos el buen disco debut de The Tings Tings, dúo inglés que con We Starting Nothing no aburrió en lo absoluto, a la espera de que confirme la calidad con el temido segundo álbum.

Ladytron con un sonido rescatado de las oscuridades ochenteras hizo mover cabezas con Runaway de su placa Velocifero.

The Dodos nos muestra a Winter, tema de su disco Visiter, sonido más acústico, entre la experimentación y el folk o la experimentación del folk.

The Last Shadows Puppets con Age of the Understatement demostró que no hay nada nuevo bajo el sol a la hora de hacer música, guitarras acústicas, melodías sesenteras e historias cotidianas, ellos tratan de ir un poco más acá diciéndonos que de alguna manera, esa época dorada es nuestra. Nos quedamos con My Mistakes Were Made For You.

Vampire Weekend nos da esa mala espina que tuvimos con The Artic Monkeys, uno mueve pies y cabeza no con cierto placer culposo de saber, ojalá que nos equivoquemos, que dentro de poco moveremos pies y cabeza con otra melodía parecida y nos olvidaremos completamente de ellos. A-Punk es la culpable y se encuentra en su disco también llamado Vampire Weekend.

Las melodías tartamudas también son pegajosas, sino que lo diga John Scatman con un poco de Eurodance noventero, pero en este año que está terminando el disco Apocalypso de The Presets se pegó como tic nervioso con Talk like that.

Después de ser indiferentes durante un par de años y de arrepentirnos de conocerlos tarde, este año no pudimos dejar de esperar Day & Age, el reciente disco de The Killers que con Human hicieron una de las mejores canciones del año, aunque el disco en total no nos termina de convencer, un par de años más quizás.

Quisimos saber más de The Muslims pero sólo tienen unos cuantos temas, punk de la vieja escuela que suena muy bien, recomendamos Parasites del single con el mismo nombre.

Jamiroquai debió ser Indie y lanzar Canned Heat por esta época, no lo hizo pero el sonido Disco le quedó muy bien a Hercules and Love Affair que con Blind nos deja claro que el Disco jamás morirá. Y claro, este tema forma parte del debut llamado también Hercules and Love Affair.

Death Cab For Cutie nos dejó I Will Possess Your Heart de su disco Narrow Stairs, el bajo de esta canción hipnotiza fácilmente.

Un poco de Indie acútico y suave es lo que nos propone Oceansea con Songs From The Bedroom Floor, melodías suaves y lentas para alejarnos de esos momentos veloces.

Desde Japón llegan estas chicas que bajo el nombre de Waterfai muestran el sonido oscuro y casi de tristeza sazonada con ira de lo que algunos llaman a algunos Post-Punk, Kaiyon es un potente tema instrumental del disco Girls In the White Dream

Accelerate marca el retorno de R.E.M., en la radio se esuchó Supernatural Superserious, que nos recuerda al mejor R.E.M. de principios de los noventas.

The Happy Hollows nos regala (literalmente) este buen disco llamado Imaginary, destacamos Lievtenant, una dulce voz en medio de guitarras pesadas y melodías caóticas, una delicia.

Postcards de la banda Sparkadia muestra un toque pop más convencional pero que se deja escuchar, nos quedamos con Jealousy.

Otra banda que retornó este año fue The Cure con 4:13 Dream, escuchamos Freakshow, no le bajamos el dedo pero tampoco no dejó seguir con el resto del álbum.

AC/DC tuvo mejor suerte con Black Ice, su hit Rock 'N Roll Train hizo conocer a muchos lo que es Hard-Rock de verdad, aunque la versión edulcorada de su video diga todo lo contrario.

De verdad que quisimos mostrar algo de entusiasmo con el retorno de Oasis, pero Dig Out Your Soul es un disco irregular y poco convicente. Falling Down es la que sonó en las radios por algún tiempo, luego paso tristemente al olvido.

Wake The Sleeper es el disco con que Uriah Heep irrumpió este año, nada espectacular, disco cumplidor para aquellos que exigimos una cuota extraordinaria de buen Rock.

La simetría perfecta de Keane no fue ni simétrica ni perfecta, otro disco para el olvido, una lástima que no puedan salir de la sombra de su espectacular primer disco. Perfect Symmetry se encierra dentro de los ya conocidos límites de estos ingleses.

Las niñas hermosas de Those Dancing Days lanzaron In Our Space Hero Suits, la verdad que nos cansa escuchar a una banda que se parece a otra que a su vez se parece a otra pero Hitten tiene su gracia.

Herman Dune con ese sonio a lo Belle & Sebastian nos deja escuchar 1-2-3 Apple Tree, donde nuestra canción preferida en también la que da título a esta placa.

Aquellos que dejamos tiempo y energía en los videojuegos hace una buena cantidad de años no pudimos resistirnos a poner en nuestros favoritos a I Am Robot And Proud que con su disco Uphill City demostró que el sonido Indie llamado 8-bit trae nostalgia a ritmo electrónico en nuestros oídos.

Y desde Canadá, siguiendo esta línea 8-bit pero desde un plano más agresivo llegó Crystal Castles, todo el disco es un viaje hacia adelante pero en retroceso (mas o menos eso, piensa en las armas de Contra, el sonido de Pause, una intro de Golden Axe, todo eso yendo adelante en ritmo y novedad), mucha fuerza y actitud punk para uno de los mejores de este año, nos quedamos con Alice Practice. Como no podía ser de otra manera el debut también se llama Crystal Castles.

Bruno es el EP de la banda Jóvenes y Sexys, el tema que nos sigue cautivando se llama Suerte.

Outside es el disco que Colplay debió grabar este año pero se les adelantaron los de Grand Avenue, que parecen conocer mejor a Coldplay que ellos mismos. El tema The Outside es una muestra más que evidente para entender estas líneas.

Con A Mad and Faithful Telling, Devotchka demuestra que ha llegado a conocer y lo que es mejor, controlar y transformar el tan anhelado sonido propio, aunque sin mucho riesgo, siguiendo la ruta marcada en How It Ends, este disco se disfruta de principio a fin.

Rescatamos a Battles de nuestro olvido, Mirrored es un gran disco de Rock, tiene fuerza, caos, sonidos poco comunes y además es Indie!. Nos quedamos con Atlas.

En Beyond The Neighbourhood está el tema Hurricane de la banda Athlete. Hace poco supimos de quien era esa melodía y no podemos dejar de mencionar este buen tema.

Parece ser que España está viviendo una época de auge y buena música en cuanto a las bandas que hemos escuchado, mencionamos a
Klaus & Kinski que con Flash-back al revés, parte de su disco Tu hoguera está ardiendo, demuestran que han sabido captar el sonido Indie y lo que es mejor, en idioma entendible.

Otra banda que escuchamos fue La Monja Enana, todo el disco Humo y Espejos viaja entre la electrónica y el pop, a veces ingenuo pero nunca aburrido.

Russian Red nos cautivó con esa hermosa voz, dejando de lado el idioma materno todos los temas de I love your glasses estan cantados en inglés, nos quedamos con Cigarettes.

La luz del ritmo es un especial disco de éxitos de Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, que incluye un tema que se nos quedó en la cabeza llamado Padre Nuestro, es que llevamos la cumbia en la sangre.

Bareto lanzó Cumbia, un poco para aprovechar la extraña moda que ha seguido a la chicha estos últimos meses, esperabamos algo decente que escuchar pero lo cierto es que le han quitado el sabor exagerado que originalmente tiene la cumbia y nos dieron un disco libre de grasas saturadas.

Por allí hay otras que se nos olvidan, por ejemplo olvidamos a propósito a Chinese Democracy, después de 14 años podemos decir que la espera no valió la pena mas que para confirmar la muerte de Guns N' Roses. O por ejemplo olvidamos temas que no nos parecieron dignos de mencionar pero que cuentan con respaldo del respetable y de la respetable crítica, Coldplay dejó de existir hace mucho sólo nos queda Parachutes por ejemplo. en el blog de Revista69 y también en Side Of The Blog pueden encontrar listas de lo mejor para el gusto Indie.

Pero decíamos que por allí se nos olvidan algunos temas, no nos interesa si han sido buenos o malos temas, esta es una lista de lo que escuchamos y recordamos del 2008. Así que si tú, amigo que llegaste al final del final, tienes algo que se nos haya pasado no dejes de mencionarlo.

Disco de autores desconocidos que salió bajo el nombre de Blackmore's Kingdom, aprovechando la fama de Ritchie Blackmore y su nueva banda: Blackmore's night.

Son 19 tracks de corte instrumental, donde la gran privilegiada es la guitarra, con sonidos "medievales" (un poco con la onda new age, y el sonido romántico del que supuestamente se disfrutaba en la época de los caballeros y princesas, magos, espadas y demás...)

Los arpegios de la guitarra acústica siguen un ritmo cadencioso, mezclados con flautas y otros instrumentos, logran un sonido atractivo. Al margen de si es un fake o no, este disco es muy agradable.

I didn´t release Linux build for a long time, because the new-developed features such as M1 and IPS are not available on Linux. now it comes back, this release includes all fixes from v1.2~1.3.

Cambia el aspecto del inicio de Xubuntu con este sobrio y bonito Usplash, originalmente hecho para Hardy pero funciona sin mayores problemas en Intrepid.

1. Descarga el paquete DEB desde Xfce-Look.org


2. Instálalo como cualquier aplicación normal

3. Abre una terminal y escribe
sudo update-alternatives --install /usr/lib/usplash/usplash-artwork.so usplash-artwork.so /usr/lib/usplash/xubuntu-theme.so 10

4. Luego
sudo update-alternatives --config usplash-artwork.so

Aquí escoge xubuntu-theme.

5. Actualiza los cambios con
sudo update-initramfs -u

Listo, cuando inicies de nuevo Xubuntu tendrá un nuevo aspecto, si no te gusta como queda, ejecuta el paso 4 nuevamente, escoge la opción por defecto y vuelve a ejecutar el paso 5.

Real Madrid 1 - Valencia 0

Buenas sensaciones en el último partido del año, encuentro vibrante donde el dominio del balón estuvo en los pies del Valencia pero las jugadas peligrosas y el gol de la victoria fueron cortesía de Robben e Higuaín.

Real Madrid no podía empezar de la mejor manera: 3 minutos y ya iban adelante tras una espectacular escapada de Robben quien cedió el balón a Higuaín para marcar un no menos excelente gol a la mano derecha del portero. Una lástima que el holandés no siguiera esa constante de desarmar la defensa rival y encontrar a alguien mejor posicionado, pues uno tras otro lo que se perfilaba como un gol seguro fue conjurado por el egoísmo, Van der Vaart y el propio Higuaín no ocultarían su descontento.

Se notó un equipo más compacto y participativo en la defensa, con Drenthe más cerca de Marcelo que de Guti y el siempre sobresaliente Gago moviéndose por todo el campo. Sólo Van der Vaart e Higuaín no participarían en ese planteamiento, aunque aún queda mucho por corregir pues Joaquín y Villa fueron una pesadilla constante para el arco de Casillas quien parece haber vuelto al firmamento pues San Iker evitó unas inevitables para mantener la victoria.

En el segundo tiempo se cambiaría el planteamiento del juego por el que se viene mostrando en encuentros anteriores, Raúl entraría por Drenthe para acompañar a un solitario Higuaín y Palanca reemplazaría a Van der Vaart que no parece encontrar una posición cómoda para jugar, Marcelo iría a la banca para la entrada de Torres. Volvía el 4-4-2 con Robben por izquierda. 2 claras tuvieron los blancos antes de la agonía del partido, una en los pies de Guti que falto de decisión perdió el balón antes de entrar al área chica, otra sería la de Higuaín en un córner donde recibió el balón en completa soledad, chocaría al palo intentando colocar el balón cuando lo mejor hubiera sido un tiro con potencia.

Habrían más oportunidades para poner el tanto de la tranquilidad, el Valencia con 10 hombres tras la expulsión de su capitán adelantaría líneas buscando el empate, pero los blancos estarían faltos de puntería. Conforme pasaban los minutos el temor al empate era evidente para Real Madrid. Valencia contaría con buenas oportunidades pero Casillas evitaría la caída de su arco. Habría una más de Guti en los tiempos de descuento pero el balón fue al cielo.

Al final los 3 puntos se quedan con los locales, queda mucho por mejorar pero se nota el cambio en ánimos y orden táctico, que ojalá se pongan a punto para el próximo año.

Wine es una aplicación que da soporte a programas originalmente creados para Windows para que funcionen en Linux, conocidos programas como Office, Photoshop, Ares, Utorrent y otros funcionan más que bien gracias a este programa. Además de muchos juegos comerciales que son específicamente creados para ese sistema operativo pueden ser jugados sin problemas con Wine.

Wine se encuentra en los repositorios oficiales, para instarlo en (X)Ubuntu ejecutamos:
sudo aptitude install wine

Para tener las últimas versiones que lanza el propio equipo de desarrollo de Wine hay que añadir estos repositorios al archivo sources.list

Agregamos la llave pública:
wget -q http://wine.budgetdedicated.com/apt/387EE263.gpg -O- | sudo apt-key add -

Abrimos el archivo mencionado:
sudo nano /etc/apt/sources.list

Agregar estos repositorios (quitar el signo # si deseas también el código fuente, si no sabes que es eso, déjalo tal como esta):

deb http://wine.budgetdedicated.com/apt intrepid main
#deb-src http://wine.budgetdedicated.com/apt intrepid main

Después actualizar la lista de repositorios:
sudo aptitude update

Si ya hay una versión de Wine instalada se informará sobre la actualización, caso contrario se instala con el comando señalado arriba.

El 17 de este mes salió la última versión oficial del programa P2P Ares Galaxy (Ares para los amigos). En esta última versión solucionan los problemas de conexión que se han venido reportando desde hace más de un año debido a los servidores que usa este programa, ya no verás el mensaje de "connecting" o "conectando" y la eterna espera para que logre conectarse.

Sin dar mayores explicaciones acerca de lo sucedido o lo que trae esta nueva versión por parte de los desarrolladores, podemos decir que efectivamente se conecta rápidamente y funciona de maravillas en (X)Ubuntu vía Wine.

La versión oficial de Ares es gratuita y se descarga desde sourceforge.net, no descargues desde otros sitios poco confiables.

Encuentro lleno de emoción y sabor amargo, cuando todo parecía quedar en empate, en uno de los pocos errores mostrados por la defensa blanca permitió se abriera el marcador en la agonía del partido. A pesar de todos los obstáculos esquivados y sorteados, se sucumbió ante el mejor equipo, ahora son 12 puntos de distancia.

Juande Ramos lo tenía claro, Real Madrid saldría a defender el encuentro y buscar esas pocas oportunidades que se presentan en este tipo de encuentros para lograr un resultado positivo. Se nota la disciplina táctica impuesta por el entrenador y el planteo frente a un equipo superior en talento y experiencia, esto parecía ser insuficiente para detener a Messi y compañía, se tuvo que recurrir a la falta para detener algunos momentos que amenazaban convertirse en críticos. Drenthe por la izquierda y la sorpresa de Sneijder por la derecha buscaron generar peligro por las bandas, parece que ya se conoce el límite de Drenthe: excelente velocidad pero mal trato al balón y visión de juego, a pesar del entusiasmo y ganas poco pudo hacer Sneijder frente a las dolencias que le obligaron a salir del campo ni siquiera acabado el primer tiempo. Guti poco pudo hacer dedicado más a tareas defensivas y Gago sigue demostrando autoridad en el medio campo.

Una clara tuvo el Real Madrid en el primer tiempo, un pase en profundidad de Raúl hacía el medio del campo contrario, Drenthe que se deshace del defensa y prosigue camino al arco... para un disparo que fue atajado por el portero.

En el segundo tiempo no cambiaría la manera de juego, Real Madrid seguía defendiendo y el Barcelona cada vez tenía oportunidades más claras, en una de esas jugadas Salgado cometería falta dentro del área que fue advertida por el árbitro quien cobró la pensa máxima, pero la pena máxima sería para Etoo quien falló el tiro, reluciendo Casillas como hace tiempo no se le veía, después vendrían otras oportunidades que Casillas se encargaría de conjurar en favor de la visita. Sin Guti ni Higuaín en el campo y Sneijder fuera por lesión, el equipo se tornó más defensivo si cabe pero también tuvo una oportunidad clara en pies del canterano Palanca, atajado por el portero local.

El partido parecía condenado al empate, Juande Ramos no estaba molesto en lo más mínimo con eso, el Barcelona si y en el minuto 83 ocurriría el desastre: un córner por la derecha, Puyol cabezea el balón y lo pone en medio del área chica, Etoo inexplicablemente sólo se cobra la revancha y marca la explosión de júbilo para los hinchas en el Camp Nou. El segundo llegaría poco antes del final, con el Real Madrid buscando el empate como sea deja sólo a Henry quien ve muy bien colocado a Messi y éste dispara como lo debería haber hecho Drenthe en el primer tiempo, con clase y total frialdad.

Si de buscar consuelos hablamos, podemos decir que el equipo está cambiando, con las piezas correctas en los lugares correctos se puede decir aun hay Liga. No estamos para consuelos.

Peculiar encuentro el que se jugó hoy, el estadio como pocas veces dejaba ver muchos asientos vacíos, Juande Ramos pasó con buen pie el primer examen-partido en su paso por el Real Madrid, Raúl se colocó como uno de los goleadores históricos de la Champions, y después de mucho tiempo se pudo ver algo de buen fútbol en el Santiago Bernabéu.

El equipo fue el mismo, el esquema y el ánimo fueron otros. Los blancos se vieron más ordenados y colaboradores en el campo de juego. Si bien el Zenit no tenía que perder o ganar, Juande Ramos pudo observar y buscar alternativas de cara al encuentro del sábado. Una defensa más firme en sus labores, con Robben y Van der Vaart buscando el arco contrario por las bandas. Aun así se pudo ver algunos fallos que Zenit no aprovechó en los primeros minutos del encuentro. El gol llegaría en un error garrafal del portero visitante, que dudó tras un centro de Van der Vaart, y Raúl siempre dentro del área aprovechó para poner el primero de la noche.

Los blancos irían por más sin mayor éxito en la primera parte el encuentro, Van der Vaart no participaría en el segundo tiempo, entrando Metzelder a ocupar el lugar de Marcelo, quien adelantó líneas para jugar de mediocampista izquierdo. Robben dejaría muestra del buen fútbol y las ganas mostradas cuando se encuentra en forma con un estupendo gol, tras recibir un pase de Raúl y poner el balón por encima del portero. Poco después entraría Javi García en reemplazo de Guti, sin duda pensando más en el Barcelona.

Robben agradecería el favor a Raúl con un pase en profundidad que el 7 blanco no desaprovechó y firmó uno de los mejores goles que se hayan visto este año, definiendo con frialdad y precisión. Saviola entraría para que el capitán se vaya ovacionado por los pocos hinchas que asistieron a presenciar esta victoria.

Un poco de orden dentro de la formación madridista logró que se contagiara la confianza en los seguidores del Real Madrid, esperemos que haya mucho más que eso y sacar un resultado que confirme el camino de recuperación que parece haberse iniciado con esta victoria.

Joan as Police Woman - To Survive

Desde el mes pasado se han iniciado las labores para la película "Live-Action" de The King of Fighters, tomando a Vancouver como centro de locaciones. Se confirma a Gordon Chow como director de este proyecto que desde el 27 de noviembre inició las labores junto a otros colegas provenientes de Hong Kong.

De la trama no se sabe mucho, todo parece indicar que será un un "spin-off", es decir, una historia no ligada con la parte "oficial" del gran universo de KOF. Lo que si se conoce son los actores que participan en este proyecto.

Existe al parecer un bug en la última rama del Kernel 2.6.27 que usa (X)Ubuntu Intrepid que no permite el montaje de las memorias en los celulares Nokia, con el modelo 3500c entre otros es imposible hacer que (X)Ubuntu lo reconozca de manera correcta. Se ha podido confirmar que este fallo no afecta a versiones anteriores de (X)Ubuntu, en las cuales se podía montar normalmente las memorias de estos celulares.

La solución detallada a continuación es sacada de Ubuntuforums, aunque en la mayoría de los casos ha funcionado correctamente, parece que hay algunos modelos que no se pueden montar.

1. Descarga este par de archivos

4. Conecta tu Nokia, ahora debería aparecer la memoria como solía hacerlo.

Con el Nokia 3500c nos fue bien, ahora en Intrepid podemos conectarlo normalmente.

Se pudo mostrar buen juego y ganas a la hora de tocar el balón pero resultó insuficiente frente a la efectividad de la delantera visitante y complicidad de parte de la defensa blanca que otra vez en un pésimo manejo táctico dejó muchos metros al rival en busca de la insufrible remontada.

Los blancos iniciaron el partido con buen ánimo gracias a las reapariciones de Robben e Higuaín en el ataque, con Van Der Vaart en el lugar del errante Drenthe, un fútbol con buenas jugadas por la banda y sorpresa en medio del área chica... pero el primer gol fue de la visita ante una falla de Casillas. Raúl no tardaría en poner la igualdad. Las fallas continuarían en la primera línea blanca permitiendo 2 goles más antes de ir al descanso.

Ya no sorprende ver al Real Madrid en esta clase de predicamentos: buscar dar la vuelta al partido en base a un juego previsible por las bandas, para colmo Drenthe entró al campo en sustitución de Van Der Vaart, lo único posible era armar jugadas con toques rápidos con miras al centro del área chica o buscar que aparezcan los grandes nombres que tienen los locales en su plantilla, sucedió lo segundo y el nombre fue el de Higuaín a quien se le negó un claro penal y puso el toque de esperanza minutos después con un soberbio tiro rasante a la izquierda del portero. Para más alegría y fe llegó el cabezazo del incansable Gago para poner el empate y lavar la cara de un Real Madrid necesitado de la victoria. Sevilla brindó el espacio necesario para que Robben escapara por la banda derecha buscando la personal cuando debió buscar el pase certero.

Pero todo jugaba en contra para los locales, una jugada confusa dentro del área visitante, Higuaín que es tomado por el portero pero logra disparar al palo, el árbitro que inexplicablemente no cobra el penal, detiene el juego y le muestra la segunda amarilla a Robben por un justo reclamo. Y allí termina lo que pudo ser una gran historia.

Real Madrid trató de buscar el tanto de la victoria a costa de dejar servido en bandeja los contragolpes del Sevilla, algunas oportunidades claras fueron desbaratadas por el portero visitante pero quien lograría el gol de la victoria aprovechando lo adelantado que estaba la defensa fue el equipo visitante a pocos minutos de acabar el encuentro.

El próximo sábado toca jugar de visitante contra el que es el mejor equipo de la Liga en estos momentos, más bajas para Schuster, otra vez Robben por suspensión y Marcelo con igual suerte, ¿y ahora quien podrá defenderlos?
